Zoe’s Fabulous Harry Potter Tours

,

Hello, and welcome to Zoe’s Fabulous Harry Potter Tours.  My name is Zoe and I will be you tour guide today and tell you about movies, magic and more.

Hover, or click on the dots on the lightning scar to learn more about Harry Potter in the UK.

J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books was inspired by what was around her. She lived in Edinburgh, Scotland and spent her time writing at the Elephant House.

People told her to write about what she saw. All she could see from the window was a graveyard. She decided to go down to the grave yard and look for some names that she could use for her stories. She found Moody for Madeye Moody, William McGonigal, for professor McGonigal and the most famous one….. Tom Riddell for he who must not be named.

Instead of selling Harry Potter things like magic wands, scarves and costumes, Elephant House does not. They have a drawer in some of the bigger tables with pens and paper for people to write their ideas on and maybe become an amazing author like J.K. Rowling.

Maybe Mikhaila and I will write a book about what we see on our trip! Thanks for taking my tour – I hope you enjoyed yourself!

  2. Hi, Zoe, Opa and I enjoyed going on your tour and I think I’ll get the Harry Potter Books from the library during the Winter months, because I did not read them all, Your posting made it tempting. Opa had not read the books or seen the movies, but he thought all the postings with photos very interesting. It is a very enjoyable and well thought out presentation. Gazillion of XOXO’s

    1. Hi!

It is not as hard as it looks! I used a site called “thinglink” to make it. I drew the picture on an app that I have on my iPad.
