Our Route

This post is about more than just our round the world travel route…we shall also talk about how to get along the route, and that means planes, trains, and automobiles!  Our route will take us across 6 continents – Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America.  During this time we will strive to meet new people, experience new places, and learn new things.

 Airline Ticket Options

There are many different options when planning your round the world trip, and booking your airline ticket is potentially the most stressful and time consuming part of all.  We expect our airline tickets to account for up to 30% of our total travel budget.  Read more…

Can Kenya be shifted if need be? Things aren’t great there now….

    1. Oliver says:

Hi Nicole, we have good flexibility and won’t be in Kenya until next year January. We can flex our dates or if needed we can move our route.

    Hi guys,
How long are you planning to stay in each point? You will probably travel within the countries you visit, right? Do you have dates for Turkey.?

    1. Katina says:

      Hi Emir,

Great question! We’re trying to do some “slow travel” meaning, that if we like a place, we’re going to stay longer. If we feel like moving on…then we’ll move on. We have a rough idea on certain places – but we’re trying to keep things as open as possible so we can relax and enjoy more. At this point in time, our roughed out schedule for July – Dec. looks like this:
      -July – Ireland
      -August – Scotland and England
-September – Belgium, France and Spain
-October/November – Germany and Eastern Europe
      -December – Turkey, Greece, Italy

For us it will depend upon the weather as we want to be in the warmer countries as we get closer to winter.
Any tips for travel through Turkey? I was there 20 years ago and absolutely loved it! We’re super excited to visit and learn more about the country.

      Take care,
