One Last Time…..

After almost 400 days on the road – it was time to go home.

We have truly enjoyed our time in South America and know we will be back for more.

On our way back to Toronto, we decided to enjoy every last moment….this included horseback riding (and galloping) through the mountains and exploring some Incan ruins.

From South America we flew to El Salvador for a 24 hour layover….it gave us chance to do a few “last things”:

One last coconut drink…..

The last fresh coconut!
The last fresh coconut!

One last swim in the ocean…..

Beautiful ocean!
Beautiful ocean!

One last beach sunset…..

One last sleep in an airport…..

One last plane ride……

Our airplane home!
Our airplane home!

We are finally home…..O Canada!

Welcome home!!
Welcome home!!

Our global fieldtrip has come to an end…..for now!

Don’t worry – there will be more posts to come…we have lots of post trip info to share!

Be back soon!

  1. dear Katina and beautiful family, I haven’t been reading all of your blogs, just some of them. I must say that I have high respect for what you and your family have done the last 400 days. Impressive, adventurous, I don’t even know how to describe this.
It definitely was a pleasure to host you. I hope you can get used again to ordinary daily life. Or maybe because of this trip you appreciate that ordinary daily life more ?
Wish you all the best, and maybe some day we’ll meet again ?
Thanks for all the blogs !
    Friendly greetings,
    Ingrid Stevens, Loenhout, Belgium x

    1. Hi Ingrid,
So nice to hear from you! We have very fond memories of our time with you and your family in Belgium. The flower parade was an amazing hilight of our trip and we just loved every minute of it! Thank you for sharing your piece of the world with us – we sincerely hope that you will come to Canada and visit with us so that we can share our part of the world too.

As for getting used to ordinary life….it’s too soon to tell:)

      Warm wishes,
      Katina and family:)
