A Creamy Swiss Breakfast

,

In Switzerland, we noticed that a lot of people eat muesli for breakfast so we decided to make a creamy version of our own.

We found a really fast and easy recipe, and I mean really fast and easy.  Have a look and try it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of oats
  • 1 chopped green apple
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 chopped banana

Process:

1) Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sized bowl and mix them together.

2) Put the mixture in the fridge for at least one hour.

3) When you are ready to eat, you can add some cinnamon on top.  Yum Yum!

Isn’t that a fast and easy recipe?

Click here if you would like to see the original recipe.

The original recipe adds many more ingredients such as nuts, sugar and orange juice.  You can change up the recipe and add whatever you like for breakfast!

Think I’ll try the ‘original’ recipe as I love all those nuts and the honey. Thanks again for a yummy recipe idea!

    1. Hi!

You can add whatever you would like to your muesli. Next time, I think I will put more fruit like oranges and berries.

  2. Hmm … this would be a good one during the school week, I used to eat it downtown in my office all the time…. I wonder if I can get Abby and Jessie to eat it? I will get them to read your post, it might help!

    1. Hi!

I think it is so easy Abby and Jessie could easily make it. It also gives you a lot of energy to start the day!

  3. Hi, Zoe, love the easy recipe and would add some raisins and some chopped almonds and as you recommended sprinkle some cinnamon on top. Hm, hm, good. Love Oma

    1. Hi!

It is great to have for breakfast because you can make it the night before and it is easy to take along if you are rushing! 🙂

  5. Hi Zoe,

    1. Hi!

  6. dear Zoe, I’m sure this recipe is good, but I have one similar that my mam used to make for me and my sister when we where about your age 🙂
put some oat in a deep plate (like for soup); add some milk, just enough to cover all the oat, or a little more if you like more; put that away in the fridge for at least an hour, so the oat can soften a little.
Then mash a banana into it, and add the juice of one orange to this, all mix this and enjoy that delicious meal ! I love it !
thanks for sharing all your experiences – love reading it.
    friendly greetings,
