King Arthur’s Marvellous Tour

,

As a final project for the UK, Mikhaila and Zoe did some extra research on areas of interest. Mikhaila selected sites and information related to King Arthur – a favourite of hers. We hope you enjoy her tour!

To learn more about places in the UK associated with King Arthur, hover your mouse over the icons or click on them.

If you are interested in learning more about King Arthur, I would recommend the book or audiobook “The Once and Future King” by T. H. White.  It talks about Arthur’s childhood up until he is king.  To read an original book of Arthurian legends, check out the “Mabinogion“.  It is another early reference to the king, in which the stories were written down in the 13th century.
If you are interested in learning about King Arthur through media, I would recommend the show “The Adventures of Merlin“.  The show is about Merlin (Colin Morgan) who is a wizard and servant to Arthur (Bradley James).  It is a great show that combines humour, magic, and adventure.  For a kid friendly King Arthur movie, there is Disney’s “The Sword in the Stone“.  This was my first introduction to the world of King Arthur when I was younger.
King Arthur was an amazing person who is only known about in legend.  He was the type of person that we need more of in this world.  I hope you enjoyed my tour!

    1. Hello Herta,

Welcome to our blog! I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Maybe we can give you some new things to try if you travel to places that we’ve been to.

  2. Wow, Mikhaila, what a great posting! Amazing to see this multi media Project, you must have done a lot of research and work. Opa and I loved the video and clicking on the icons was interesting and fun. I had to do the clicking/hovering, because Opa doesn’t keep the mouse “steady”. Lots of XOXO’s
