Round The World Travel – Accommodations

Accommodations can be one of the larger costs to consider on a round the world trip.  These costs can be up to 30% of your total travel budget.  Fortunately, finding accommodations around the world has never been easier.  With a click of a link, one can book a hotel just about anywhere.  But to be honest, we don’t want a hotel room, we want to connect more with locals and see their cities and towns through their eyes. Also, since we’re going to be on the road for so long, we want a “home” when possible, with a kitchen to cook in and yard for all of us to run around in etc… For this reason, we have researched a variety of accommodation types that we are thinking to use throughout our travels.

Here are some of our resources so far:

Not every hotel, hostel, or guest house will be included in search engines like AirBnB or VRBO, however you can find local “gems” by searching on Trip Advisor.  The guesthouse in question may not post on any of the typical search sites, but visitors are often inclined to share their experiences on Trip Advisor.

    Hi guys!

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out our site and leave a comment! We are really pumped by our upcoming adventure and are fully anticipating that things aren’t going to be smooth sailing the whole time. As long as it’s smooth most of the time, we’ll ride the waves as best we can!

Looking forward to working with you to utilize your resources to help keep the dream alive!
