Don’t You Want To Sail Away…

Our first week of our French exchange was so much fun!  From Monday to Friday, Mikhaila, Zoe, Juline, Clelia, and I were in a rowing and sailing summer camp in Annecy Lake, right up the street from Jacques and Virginie’s house.  In the morning we learned

All About Annecy!

After spending seven hours in an airplane, it was a relief to land  and meet up with the Lenoble family.  Although we were a bit nervous about travelling without our parents and pretty jetlagged, we were excited to start our French adventure!    The family

Let the Independent Adventure Begin!

It was only two short years ago when we first met the LeNoble family from Annecy, France.  Virginie, Jacques, Zoe and Juline were spending three weeks in Beijing, China.  We just happened to stay at the same awesome hutong. Our families both had two daughters and we

Canada 150!

Oh, Canada! What better timing could there be for our Aussie cousins to visit than during our incredible Canada 150 celebrations?!  As luck would have it (ok, there was some planning involved!), our Fam from the Land Down Under was able to join us for

All the Way From Down Under to Canada!

One thing we feel really good about with our Global FieldTrip is that is has inspired others to “go for it” and travel – especially our family from Australia!  Last Christmas, our cousins from outside of Melbourne wanted to experience a white Christmas in Canada

Exploring Ontario – the Adventure Awaits!

After a fabulous Global Field Trip night, we started the official tourist part of Ravi and Anju’s holidays. Let’s go Ontario! Of course, when you are in Ontario, one must go and see the famous Wonder of North America – Niagara Falls.  So we packed up

Welcome, Friends!

What do you get when you combine 40 friends, interesting foods, and special guests from India?  If you guessed a Global Fieldtrip Reunion, you guessed correctly! Way back in June we enjoyed the company of our dear friends from India, Ravi and Anju Puliani.  As

Vimy Ridge… 100 Years Later

“It was Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific on parade.  I thought then… that in those few minutes I witnessed the birth of a nation.” This is the famous quote by Brigadier-General Alexander Ross talking about Canada’s role in the Battle of Vimy Ridge during

Europe Bound – On our way to Vimy!

As some of you may know, this year is Canada’s 150th birthday.  What some of you may not know, is that April, 2017 marked the 100th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge, which took place during World War 1.  To celebrate these two important anniversaries, my

Global Reunion!

There’s something special about reunions – meeting up with friends and family you haven’t seen in a while, catching up on old times, and sharing new and exciting experiences.  Since our last Global Fieldtrip night in July 2016, we have missed the sharing and camaraderie

Another Grand Sight

Here is a riddle: Going down is an option, Going up is mandatory. Where am I? The Grand Canyon of course! While in Arizona, we decided to check one of the Natural Wonders of the World off of our bucket lists. To make sure we

Sedona Rocks!

We are no longer on our official Global Fieldtrip, but that doesn’t mean the fun and adventures have ended!  My dad had to be in Phoenix, Arizona for a business trip, so we decided it would be a fun idea for the three girls to

Last, But Not Least!

For our last Global Fieldtrip Night we enjoyed a different type of evening. The weather was amazing, so we were able to start our gathering outside. We started off with eating of course by having an international pot luck. People brought dishes from different countries

And Last, But Not Least

Sadly, South America was where we parted…. But not for long! We love sharing our adventures with you so much that we have decided to have one final Global Fieldtrip night.  For this night, we would like everyone to be involved! Date: Saturday July 23, 2016

South American Success!

Hey everybody! Thank you to all who came to our most recent Global Fieldtrip Night, Stunning South America. It was a great time and we really enjoyed sharing all of our photos and stories from our time in Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands (Santa Cruz and Isabela),
